Tour Detail
The Green Tour, perfect for your second day, takes you to incredible places where you can walk and explore even more. Highlights include Kaymaklı Underground City, Ihlara Valley with its rock-hewn churches, the village of Belisırma, Selime Monastery, Pigeon Valley, and Göreme Panorama.
You’ll be picked up from your hotel and driven to Ihlara, where you’ll walk through Ihlara Canyon—a “mirage” in the heart of Anatolia—leading to Belisırma Village, the ancient Peristrema, also known as the Valley of the Sky, along the Melendiz River. Rock-cut churches scattered throughout the lush landscape will amaze you with their beautifully painted biblical depictions.
Lunch is served in Belisırma at a local riverside restaurant. Afterward, we’ll stop at Selime, a village featuring cave houses and a “Star Wars”-like landscape at the canyon's end. Finally, we’ll visit Kaymaklı Underground City, one of the largest underground cities in Cappadocia.
