The Red Tour is the perfect full-day tour for your first day in Cappadocia, covering all the top sights in the Göreme, Avanos, and Uçhisar regions: Göreme Open-Air Museum, Uçhisar Rock Castle, Devrent and Paşabağ Valleys, Avanos, and Esentepe.
In the morning, you'll first encounter the most fascinating landscapes of Cappadocia, starting with the rock formations of Devrent Valley. Next, enjoy a walk through Paşabağ Valley, also known as the "Fairy Chimneys," where the sound of the wind blends with the whispers of fairies. Lunch will be in Avanos, the center of terra-cotta artistry since 3000 BC, followed by a demonstration at a traditional pottery workshop.
In the afternoon, visit the famous Göreme Open-Air Museum to see the best examples of Byzantine art in Cappadocia, featuring rock-cut churches adorned with frescoes and paintings from the 10th to 13th centuries. The tour continues to Uçhisar Rock Castle, offering panoramic views of Cappadocia's valleys, and concludes with a stop at Esentepe for one of the most breathtaking views of the region.
You'll return to your hotel around 4:30 PM.
